- Price is a city located in Carbon County, Utah. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 8,402 and by 2004 had been estimated to decrease to 8,197. It is the county seat of, and largest city in, Carbon County. The city is home to the College of Eastern Utah, as well as the large prehistoric museum affiliated with the college. It's a short drive from 9 Mile Canyon and Manti-La Sal National Forest. Price is noted for its history as a mining town and its Greek population.
