About Burley - Burley is a city located in Cassia County, with a small portion extending north across the Snake River into neighboring Minidoka County, in Idaho. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 9,316.

Burley is the second-largest city in Idaho's Magic Valley region after Twin Falls. Along with nearby Rupert it forms the bulk of the "Mini-Cassia" area of southern Idaho.

There were 3,288 households out of which 39.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.7% were married couples living together, 12.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.8% were non-families. 25.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.75 and the average family size was 3.31.
